We
have classes on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The
morning class is from 9:00 to 11:15 am, and the afternoon session
is 12:15 to 2:30 pm. We have an optional lunch program that
is an additional $30 (per month) for 1 hour of additional care
while the children eat the lunches that they bring. |
Dear Parents,
How can it be possible that just a little while ago we were meeting for the start of school...and now, this is my final letter to you. It has been a wonderful year. We have watched the children become comfortable in school, develop friendships, learn about many topics, increase skill levels, and enjoy playtime.
As for the end of school, we will be keeping to our same routine. We have found that the structure enables the day to proceed without confusion. We will be talking about the rainforest for another week and then, what they like to do with mom and dad. We will be going over to visit Mrs. Dobbins’ room.
The final day of school is May 15. There will NOT be lunch that day.
I have attached a note regarding tuition payment. If you don’t have anything attached, you
DO NOT owe tuition. Lunch bunch will need to pay for May, unless you added that amount to your initial registration check last spring. May 15 will be a regular day, with some extra play - perhaps bubbles, the parachute, or chalk outside. The children have a difficult time understanding that they are not going to Mrs. Dobbins’ class the next Tuesday, so we don’t make a big deal about the year ending.
Also, we would like to invite you to the Akron Children’s Zoo on FRIDAY, MAY 30. We will be there. If you have some time, come and wander with us. We thought it might be nice to see the children one last time before summer. You are free to arrive at the zoo whenever is good for you and your family. Bring a lunch, and we’ll meet at one of the pavilions at 11:30, and eat together. In the past, we have found that the children enjoy running into their teachers and friends around every corner. This is very optional. Check their website for info.

Thank you again for your support and care throughout the year. We have had a great time. We have met such nice families, and their fun children. Have a fun, relaxing summer with the children. They love books as you know, and trips to the library would be a nice outing for them.
As you “garage sale”, or clean out kid’s toys in the summer, keep us in mind for
gently used toys. You all know what the children of this age enjoy, and when yours are finished playing with theirs, perhaps, you’ll remember us.

Have a safe month.
